Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie

A creamy high-protein smoothie with frozen strawberries, banana, Greek yogurt, and vanilla protein.

A Creamy Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie

This Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie is simple, creamy, and easy to make with everyday ingredients. The combination of sweet strawberries and banana gives it a classic smoothie flavor, while protein powder and Greek yogurt help make it more filling than a basic fruit blend.

It is a great option for breakfast, a post-workout smoothie, or a quick snack when you want something cold, fruity, and satisfying.

‍

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup milk, almond milk, or oat milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, optional
  • 1/2 cup ice, optional for a thicker smoothie

‍

Instructions

  1. Add the milk to the blender first.
  2. Add the banana, frozen strawberries, protein powder, Greek yogurt, vanilla, and honey or maple syrup if using.
  3. Add ice if you want a thicker, colder smoothie.
  4. Blend on low speed, then gradually increase to high.
  5. Blend for 30–60 seconds, or until smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste and adjust the sweetness or thickness as needed.
  7. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

‍

Blender Tips

For the smoothest texture, add the liquid first and the frozen fruit last. This helps the blender pull everything down evenly and keeps the protein powder from sticking to the bottom or sides of the container.

If you are using a Vitamix, start on the lowest speed and slowly increase to high. The smoothie should become creamy and fully blended in under a minute.

For a thicker smoothie, use a frozen banana or add more ice. For a thinner smoothie, add a splash more milk.

‍

Easy Variations

For extra protein, use Greek yogurt and a full scoop of protein powder.

For a dairy-free version, use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk and swap the Greek yogurt for a dairy-free yogurt.

For a sweeter smoothie, use vanilla yogurt or add a pitted date.

For a berry mix version, add frozen blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries.

For a smoothie bowl, reduce the milk to 1/2 cup and top with granola, sliced banana, strawberries, chia seeds, and a drizzle of almond butter.
